This event is 21 and over

Based around the Salina Kansas area, Herringbone was established in 2017. Influences range from “old country” such as Merle Haggard, to “jam rock” like the Grateful Dead, all the way to today’s best “contemporary” music like John Mayer. With a growing catalog of original music, such as our debut album “Man That’s Never Alone” (also releasing in 2017), and a passion for other guitar based music (and beyond) we are bound to strike a rhythm that hits home for you.

Taylor Kline – Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Harmonica

Originally from Delphos, Kansas, Taylor had been on his own as a solo singer songwriter for over 10 years. He has preformed alone with his acoustic guitar all over the midwest with his traditional folk style singing and playing. Now, as frontman for Herringbone, he has brought his original folk style, and original music catalog to the band.

Ryan Armes – Drums

Ryan is from, and currently resides, in Salina, Kansas. He began drumming as toddler, and has played in the popular Salina band, Backseat Drivers since the age of 10 before joining the band. Ryan takes his influences from punk drummers and smooth hip hop beats to give Herringbone a tight, clean, and groovy foundation.

Riley Day – Bass, Backup Vocals

Riley, originally from DeSoto, Kansas, and now living in Emporia, has played countless shows, gigs, and musical styles around the Kansas area. A schooled musician in the double bass and cello, Riley teaches orchestra at Emporia High School. However, the electric bass is choice for this ever expressive musician in Herringbone. And with it, gives the band tasteful solos as well as unwavering rhythm.

Mikey Rupert – Lead Guitar, Backup Vocals

From Minneapolis, Kansas, Mikey has studied guitar at Kansas State University and currently teaches guitar in his hometown of Minneapolis. He solos frequently in Herringbone, playing with influences in many genres including jazz, rock, and blues.
